about - actorJULLY (pronounced "Julie") is a Korean-American Los Angeles native and consequently speaks English, Korean, Spanish and Valley Girl. Jully made her Broadway debut originating the role of RUBY in KPOP THE MUSICAL, and is currently based in New York City.
After her debut performance in a sketch comedy show with Cold Tofu Improv, the nation's first Asian American improv comedy troupe, Jully received a direct offer for a co-star role on RENO 911! Since then, Jully has continued working steadily in film and TV, performing opposite Michael Douglas, Alan Arkin, Sterling K. Brown, Minnie Driver, Annie Potts, Craig T. Nelson, Shemar Moore and Rachel Bloom. She has received critical acclaim for her performances in over 30 productions onstage, and received an Ovation nomination for "Best Featured Actress" in 2021. She was also nominated for GMA's Inspiration List: Who is Making Asian American Pacific Islander History in 2021 by Keiko Agena as a "powerhouse in the LA theatre scene." Jully loves competitive word games (she's been on 4 game shows!), scrolling the internet for simple life hacks and enjoys discussing existentialism and the purpose of existence over vodka cocktails. Currently, Jully is recording the audio book I WANT TO DIE, BUT I STILL WANT TO EAT TTEOKBOKKI, which is slated to be released this summer. |
